In any case, the spider dog is not particularly tough, but in swarms they can kill you pretty easily. Think zerglings (though they weren't my inspiration for the creature).

Schtick: A good sized bug thing with
six legs, the Spider Dog is an ambush/swarm predator. They are sight-blind, but
their hearing is phenomenal, and they seem to have a sonar-like sense.They hide
on the ceilings and drop onto you. They have a toxic bite, which will also
cause corrosion damage of 1 AP per hit to armored locations. Otherwise the bite
causes small actual damage, but penetrates and poisons the target. They are very, very fast, and can swarm opponents
